The toddler period can be characterized by little sleep 😴 - more than 90% of parents want help with falling asleep, night awakenings and "sleep schedules".
In collaboration with RBUP East and South - regional center for children and young people's mental health, we have developed a guided web-based program to assist parents of infants and toddlers with sleep difficulties. The tool maps the family's situation, presents an adapted program for parents that motivates and is a tool for tutors to follow up on families.
consists of targeted and planned measures for better sleep health in young children, e.g. research-based strategies for difficulty falling asleep and night awakenings, different varieties of extinction, knowledge about sleep, positive sleep routines, delayed bedtimes and scheduled wake-ups.
In the autumn, the program will be offered for health centres, voluntary organizations and other frontline services. The services will receive guidance from RBUP, which has developed and researched the programme. #health station #sleep
