eBehandling launched in Helse Nord

The short-term outpatient clinic at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) is now setting up eBehandling for depression, social anxiety, and panic disorder. The launch in Tromsø means eBehandling is now established as a treatment service for the population in every health region in the country.

UNN is establishing eBehandling as a regional treatment service available to patients across the whole northern region. A rapid, phased rollout of the service is planned, with patients from UNN gaining access first. Patients from the catchment areas of Nordland Hospital, Helgeland Hospital, and Finnmark Hospital may be referred to the treatment service during 2025.

The northern region has chosen a somewhat different setup than the other regions, based on clinical experience and referral rates. The region has a smaller population than the others, but the settlements are very spread out. By establishing eBehandling as a centralised service in Tromsø, the hope is to give good access to patients who want this kind of service, while building expertise in the treatment format in one place.

We're really looking forward to getting eBehandling up and running as a service for the population in the region.

- Ruben Sletteng, Section Manager, and Lene Mydland Rasmussen, Head of the Short-Term Section, UNN

With the launch in Tromsø, eBehandling is now established as a treatment service for the population across all four health regions in the country.
