Youwell won a historic tender in the healthcare sector!
The Bergen company will make it easier for patients throughout the country to access treatment online.
- There was both euphoria, happiness and relief when we won the tender. It is a summation of eight years of hard work behind it, says general manager Øyvind Grimsgaard at Youwell .
It is the first time that the health authorities have announced a national tender within digital health services in Norway. This means that Youwell is now writing history.
The wording in the tender was "guided internet treatment". Youwell has a platform for this type of treatment where specialists, researchers and healthcare personnel can develop their own treatment programs that can be offered to their patients.
The platform will now become part of the specialist health service in all healthcare institutions, and patients can be referred for treatment on the platform via a hospital or GP.
It will be free for patients to use the platform, while the healthcare institutions pay a license which is regulated based on how many patients use the platform. During the fourth year , the target is 10,000 patients.
