Project start-up in collaboration with Bergen municipality and Health Bergen: digital intervention aimed at bars

Bergen municipality, Helse Bergen and Youwell, under the auspices of SFIet ForHelse , have now started a project to create a digital health service for children and young people with anxiety. The project will lead to a new digital psychological intervention that reduces symptoms of anxiety, involves parents, and functions as a good tool for therapists in planning, guidance, follow-up and interaction with the person in need of help. The project has been supported by Innovation Norway.

Many children and young people with anxiety experience that today's healthcare services are not so easily accessible, unengaging and out of date. Today's mental healthcare is not optimally set up to ensure children's right to the best possible healthcare. They see it as a greater threshold to carry out physical meetings with therapists as they have problems with this form of therapy. Early, good and correct help is of decisive importance for children's further development, where it can otherwise result in long-term problems that are carried over into adulthood.

The project, which will use the Youwell platform, will develop a digital health service for children and young people that lowers the threshold for getting treatment, has a higher effect (for example reducing symptoms, increasing treatment capacity, smarter use of resources, reducing waiting time and costs) and making the service easier to use .

The digital intervention is expected to be completed in 2022, and we hope that the solution can be rolled out to the rest of Norway and Northern Europe in 2023-2025.
